Manager Warehouse Operations
The Manager Warehouse Operations Columbia Distribution Companies is a key contact for the Supply Chain material management function and is responsible for warehouse operations, inventory control management and investment recovery and software support systems for the Columbia States. This position has direct responsibility for all activities performed by warehouse operations and indirect responsibility for other non-warehouse personnel, assigned to perform similar functions. Warehouse functions include; material security, documentation, accountability, storage, receiving, picking, issuing, delivery, material returns, transferring and physical inventory. The position will direct the inventory planning function to insure the company's short and long-term material requirements are met. The manager will also direct the investment recovery function that includes responsibility for bidding practices, sales contracts, asset sales, scrap, obsolete material, recycling and other waste stream cost avoidance activities. Other responsibilities include inventory software administration, training, developing departmental budgets, administration of policies and procedures, staff management, handling human resource issues and manage the business with respect to organizational strategy. This position will manage the MRC contract and relationship between MRC Columbia Gas Operations. Essential Functions
Establishes Corporate Warehouse Operations' policies and procedures and insure compliance Develops and monitors budgets for Warehouse Operations, including operations within supported companies Establishes and tracks warehouse, material management and investment recovery metrics Oversees, plans and approves Columbia Gas inventory levels to meet turnover goals, service level requirements and emergency response needs Maintains department emergency response procedures, as needed, by the supported companies including; standby schedules, 24/7 availability and other off-hour support Develops and manages department short and long term objectives Manages department personnel and approve staff's personal performance objectives Approves time reporting and employee expenses Provides continuing education for the development of department staff Initiates and approves human resource requirements Interfaces with the procurement function to insure quality supplier performance, timely delivery, high service level performance, material discrepancy resolution and the best overall total cost of inventoried material supplied to NiSource Quarterly, as process owner, responsible for directing the testing of Sarbanes-Oxley processes and taking corrective action in regards to failed processes Responsible for insuring the completion of various physical inventory processes to meet internal audit, external audit and FERC requirements Responsible for inventoried material storage locations, both manned and unmanned, including security, access requirements, storage racks and material handling equipment Responsible for the periodic review of inventoried items to insure material is in usable condition and identify obsolete items Facilitates the write-off of obsolete material when identified and report amounts that may exceed established threshold levels Required Qualifications For Position

Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent in experience 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain functions and/or equivalent experience in a related field Experience in effective application of program/project management methodologies and skills As a public utility, NiSource is required to provide continuous service to customers at all times.
