SUMMARY: Performs technical, clerical, and administrative duties in assisting with the management of the official records of the County, maintenance of the required data bases, and administration of County elections; provides customer service on behalf of the Teton County Clerk's Office (TCCO).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job description is subject to change at any time by the employer. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Reviews, processes, and research technical and legal documents for the Teton County Clerk's Office (TCCO); performs duties within scope of authority and training, and in compliance with County policies and quality standards; duties may vary according to job assignment. Receives, reviews, and verifies a variety of legal documents and records, including voter registration and vehicle titles, marriage and liquor licenses, election materials, real estate transactions, property documents, and vouchers. Checks documents for validity and accuracy of information; reviews, records, files, sorts, and distributes technical documents. Determines appropriate actions to be initiated based on the content of the documents and TCCO policies. Performs specialized governmental accounting and record keeping as assigned. Cross trains in other TCCO duties; assists with the training and cross-training of TCCO staff; may be assigned to special activities such as elections to meet variable annual workload demands. Supports the relationship between the Teton County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED equivalent Up to 1year of customer service and computer experience Required Licenses and Certifications:

Must possess a valid Wyoming/Idaho Driver's License and maintain an acceptable driving record. Certificate as Notary Public from the Wyoming Secretary of State may be required; additional technical skills training and certifications may be required for some incumbents. Required Knowledge of:

County policies and procedures, and pertinent federal and state laws, regulations, and procedures, including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). Customer service principles, protocols, and standards. Standard and specialized computer software applications. Basic principles and practices of accounting, cash handling, record keeping, and records management. Required Skills in:

Responding to public inquiries and providing information on departmental services, programs, policies, and procedures. Providing effective customer service and dealing tactfully and courteously with the public. Understanding and applying County policies, and relevant state and federal laws, rules, and regulations. Accurately processing technical transactions, and maintaining departmental records, files, and documentation. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other staff, and the general public. Communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Work Environment:

Work is performed in a standard office environment.
