Boh Lead

The BOH Lead is responsible for daily operations in the kitchen. A BOH Lead should be well informed about culinary positions, recipe standards, and hospitality for guests. During their shift, a BOH Lead will open & close the venue following standard procedures, verify recipe adherence through line checks and visual inspection during service, and support management, staff, and guest requests as needed. In addition, all BOH Leads are expected to create and maintain an inviting atmosphere in the kitchen for staff. This atmosphere is created through positivity, support, shared knowledge, and effective communication. Supervisory responsibilities include assisting in supervising the culinary team in the absence of the Executive Chef. Responsibilities include overseeing daily culinary operations, following culinary standards, rewarding the team, escalating issues, demonstrating culinary skills, ensuring high standards, developing good working relationships, contributing to a climate of appreciation, performing other duties as assigned, and assisting the company leadership on major initiatives. Qualifications and skills include working extended hours, working with minimal supervision, supporting the Executive Chef, excellent interpersonal and customer service, establishing strong relationships, excellent organizational skills, supervising food preparation, recognizing and maintaining safety and sanitation, excellent time management, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Education and/or experience requirements include a demonstrated understanding of cooking methods, prior experience in a leading position, accuracy and speed in handling conditions, outstanding communication skills, familiarity with culinary trends, and working knowledge of computer software programs. Physical requirements include prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer, standing for hours, maneuvering up and downstairs, ability to travel, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Compensation is $27.00 per hour.
