Schedule: Per Diem. Shift: Nights. Location: 11801 South Fwy., Burleson, TX 76028. Our care for patients extends to the spiritual level by praying with patients and families and providing on call, 24 hours, 7 days a week Chaplains for spiritual support. Under guidance of preceptor, the role you'll contribute is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of supplies and instrumentation utilized throughout the facility following established national standards and infection control standards. The value you'll bring to the team includes receiving soiled and contaminated instruments or equipment from surgery/Anesthesia/nursing units, appropriately preparing, cleaning, and disinfecting instruments and equipment, inspecting all instruments and equipment for damages, malfunction or unacceptable condition, preparing instruments and equipment for sterilization by ascertaining correct item and number when applicable, assisting with maintaining adequate supply level, and assisting with supply preparation for surgical cases. The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed includes a high school graduate or equivalent. Previous sterile processing technician experience is desired.
