The VCU's Audit and Compliance Services seeks to hire a Program Manager, Training and Communications to support the Integrity and Compliance Office. Position Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, the Program Manager is primarily responsible for designing, executing, and evaluating a comprehensive ethics and compliance training and communications program. This role serves as a strategic leader and subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and oversight for high-profile, complex, and sensitive initiatives that advance the organization's commitment to integrity and ethical conduct. The Program Manager will oversee and manage multiple projects concurrently, playing a central role in advancing the mission of the Integrity and Compliance Office (ICO). This position involves close collaboration with both internal ICO staff and external stakeholders to design, develop, and implement ethics and compliance training across various platforms. The Program Manager will also lead research initiatives to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend best practices in ethics and compliance education. In addition to training responsibilities, the Program Manager will shape and direct the ICO's communications strategy, including oversight of the office's blog, newsletter, case studies, and website. This role includes supervising a Communications Specialist to ensure effective execution of the communications plan. The Program Manager may also be called upon to support the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer with special projects or ad hoc assignments, which may include assisting with investigations or other team initiatives. Core Responsibilities: Ethics and Compliance Program Training and Education - Needs Assessments; Content, Development and Delivery Duties: Lead the ethics and compliance training program for the ICO. Responsible for the assessment of compliance training needs within the VCU community. Responsible for the development and coordination activities for compliance training materials and opportunities for training for the University community. Person or online trainings based on ethics and compliance issues at VCU. Responsible for developing and/or implementing the following trainings with topics based on assessed need: annual training, psychological safety training, periodic ad hoc trainings based on emerging issues and constituent need or additional in person or online trainings based on ethics and compliance issues at the university. With support from other ICO team members, serve as the primary instructor and instructional designer for ICO trainings in all modalities. Develop and maintain positive relationships with partners across campus who have an interest in, or need for, ethics and compliance training. Maintain positive relationship with the VCU technical staff that support training software. Monitor and implement best practices in all training modalities related to ethics and compliance training, apply those practices to VCU. Monitor trends/emerging topics in ethics and compliance training and bring those to VCU. Support members of the ICO in developing trainings for their needs i.e. investigations and Clery Compliance. Ethics and Compliance Communication Program Management Duties: Responsible for managing the ICO communications program, which includes the blog, newsletter case study development and website. Assess current communication tools, identify gaps and develop additional communication methods as needed. Provide direct supervision and support to the ICO Communications and collaborate with the Specialist on implementation of the communication plan and communication projects. Maintain positive relationships with members of the Enterprise Marketing and Communications team and leverage those relationships as needed. Other Duties as Assigned: Duties: Participate in ICO initiatives such as trainings, constituent relation activities, etc. Undertake ad hoc projects or and perform additional duties as assigned by manager or leadership team.
