Sr. SCADA Analyst
This senior level position is responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of the company's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, with a primary focus on the CygNet platform. This role ensures reliable data collection, real-time monitoring, and operational control for upstream oil & gas assets, while providing expert support to field operations and corporate stakeholders. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and optimize the company's CygNet SCADA platform, including servers, polling engines, and field communications Perform system maintenance and onboarding for new wells, facilities, and communication paths Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA data and system issues, including integrations with other platforms Develop and enhance screens, alarms, dashboards, and reports for operations and engineering teams Provide end-user training to field personnel and mentor less experienced analysts Collaborate with Measurement, Production Accounting, Engineering, Field Operations, and other teams to maintain data integrity Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours SCADA support Travel to field sites as required, up to 10% of the time, for commissioning, troubleshooting, or training Lead or support SCADA-related projects, upgrades, system consolidations, and technology deployments Perform other duties as assigned to support operational goals and system reliability Job Specific Skills: Advanced knowledge of SCADA systems in oil & gas, with expertise in CygNet; familiarity with Ignition or AutoSol is a plus Strong understanding of oil and gas automation fundamentals, including well, facility, and measurement processes Proficiency in industrial communication protocols (ROC Plus, Modbus, DNP3, MQTT, etc.) Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for SCADA, network, integration, and field device issues Proficient in SQL for querying, managing, and analyzing SCADA and operational data stored in relational databases Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., VBScript, PowerShell, Python, Node-RED, etc) for automation and integration is a plus Familiarity with downstream integrations to systems such as FLOWCAL or Enertia is a plus Ability to train, assist, and support users both in the field and remotely Education: Minimum: High school diploma or GED Preferred: Bachelor's degree - from accredited university - Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field Experience: Minimum: 5 - 8 years related work experience Expand Energy takes necessary action to ensure that all applicants are treated without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, pregnancy, military or veteran status or any other protected characteristic as established by law.
