We are actively searching for an experienced and energetic individual to become a Bar Server at MKT Bar of Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco. This is a Union Extra / On-Call Position. Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixed drinks as well as information regarding preparation methods. Describe the selection of beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain food & menu knowledge for items offered in the lounge; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the bartender using the hotel's point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest's original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items. Breakdown, clean, and set-up tables and drink stations. Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Carry trays of food Assist with bar inventory Stocking paper and bar supplies Experience working a minimum of 2-3 years in Food & Beverage and previous experience as a server Advanced Wine, spirits, and beverage knowledge is a must - Candidates will be evaluated on their knowledge Thrive working in a fast-paced, and large team environment Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort Must be flexible with a schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays shifts Strong oral presentation skills Ability to carry and balance a tray Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests Four Seasons offers an award winning work environment and an excellent benefits package which includes: Hourly Rate: $17.26 Complimentary Employee Meals Laundered Employee Uniform
