Overview:
We are seeking a skilled
Okta Administrator
to support, maintain, and enhance our identity and access management infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring and managing Okta as an Identity Provider (IdP), integrating applications using SSO and SCIM, and implementing security policies like MFA. This role is essential to ensuring secure and streamlined access to applications and systems across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain the Okta Identity platform, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting Onboard and integrate new applications using SAML, OIDC, and SCIM Manage user lifecycle events (JML: Joiner, Mover, Leaver) and automation using SCIM or other tools Implement and enforce MFA, conditional access, and device trust policies Monitor system health, logs, and audit reports for anomalies or potential security issues Create and manage Okta Workflows for automating access and provisioning tasks Maintain integrations with Active Directory, LDAP, and other directories Collaborate with InfoSec and IT teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements Document configuration, runbooks, and architectural changes Stay up-to-date with Okta product updates, security threats, and IAM best practices Required Skills and Qualifications: 3+ years of experience administering Okta in a mid to large-scale enterprise Strong understanding of IAM concepts and protocols (SCIM, SAML, OAuth2, OIDC) Experience with directory integrations (e.g., AD, LDAP) Hands-on experience with MFA configuration and access policies Familiarity with Okta Workflows, Lifecycle Management, and Universal Directory Experience with Okta logging, monitoring tools (Splunk, etc.), and reporting Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, ISO 27001, HIPAA) is a plus Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus Okta Certified Administrator or higher is preferred Preferred Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent documentation and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
