Histotechnologist
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histotechnologist to join our team. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a vital role in preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists. Your expertise in tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and slide preparation will contribute to accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment decisions. Responsibilities: Processing tissue specimens using various techniques, including fixation, dehydration, embedding, and sectioning Performing routine and special stains on tissue sections Operating and maintaining histology laboratory equipment Ensuring proper identification and labeling of specimens and slides Collaborating with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure high-quality results Maintaining accurate records and documentation of laboratory procedures and test results Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician (HT) by ASCP or equivalent Minimum of [X] years of experience in histology laboratory work Proficiency in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining techniques Knowledge of laboratory equipment operation and maintenance Familiarity with laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures
