The Director of Operations is responsible for leading a multi-plant custom injection molding operation utilizing the core principles of PQPC (People, Quality, Productivity & Cost). This people focused leader will direct and oversee the MPM operational activities ensuring the development and implementation of cost-effective operations to meet current and future needs of the organization. This individual will focus on fostering MPM's co-worker focused culture and developing a high performing team that utilizes Lean manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence. Key responsibilities are to ensure the timely manufacture and shipment of customer products following standardized procedures to maximize production efficiencies, equipment utilization, while reducing labor costs, product rework, and scrap levels. To be successful in this role, this individual needs to be data and results driven while encouraging and motivating co-workers. The Director of Operations must always support our People, deliver exceptional Quality, improve Productivity and continuously improve Cost. Strategy Deployment & Delivery of Results Lead the development and implementation of Lean manufacturing methodology by creating a vision, strategies, policies, processes and procedures that improves operational performance through continuous improvement. Assist in setting overall business goals and objectives/Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) then formulate action plans to achieve such. Monitor and direct activities which drive the achievement of operational goals and objectives. Utilize ERP, MES and other analytical tools to monitor daily performance and develop actions to improve. Demonstrated experience optimizing material flow throughout facilities using Lean methodologies. Periodically present performance reports and metrics to executive management and the leadership team. Establish and support customer relationships and help to develop profitable, mutually beneficial long-term collaboration. Maintain awareness of current injection molding processing, assembly and automation technologies and any new industry developments and standards. People Leadership & Development Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental requirements are adhered to. Work with the safety team members to find and correct areas of weakness. Oversee the daily workflow of the operations area in all MPM facilities. Ensure coworkers are supplied with constructive and prompt performance evaluations. Attract, retain and motive the operations department coworkers. Set department objectives/KPI's. Review and access KPI's to ensure ongoing performance of direct reports. Report on achievement of targets and identify/implement any required corrective actions. Ensure relevant ongoing learning and development of all employees in injection molding process and equipment technology, lean improvement tools and communication methods. Collaborate with other departments to carry out goals and objectives. Promote McDonald Plastic Molding's values, and standards by being people focused, driving accountability and clear communication. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A master's degree is a plus. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in the contract manufacturing of injection molded components. Proficiency using ERP(enterprise resources planning), MES(manufacturing execution system), PowerBI or other similar business analytical tools. Proven record in process improvement methodologies

Kaizen, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing tools. Master Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent qualification preferred. Strong understanding injection molding processing, plastics joining processes, assembly methods and injection molding and automation equipment.
