Alliance Senior Underwriter
The Alliance Senior Underwriter position will be responsible for underwriting partnerships in our nontraditional broker distribution channel. Today, this channel primarily includes Fortune 100 National P&C carriers. The individual will partner with multiple producers during the proposal and renewal process to look for ways to increase membership while maintaining a profitable book of business. The ideal candidate for this role has a deal-maker mentality, is comfortable in a fast-paced environment on a growing team, and is capable of delivering quality work while providing exceptional service to our partners. What You'll Do: Grow and manage a portfolio by creating meaningful trading relationships, enabling our partnerships to reach their full potential. Development, maintenance and management of agent partnerships; development of strategies and goals for agents and tracking of progress; and positioning PURE within an agency, including: Deliver exceptional, timely, complete and accurate service to agents Develop trusted, respected and lasting relationships with agent partners Work with agents to craft best solutions for their clients Share knowledge and best practices with agents Underwrite empathetically at all times Responsible for new and renewal underwriting execution, including selecting risks in line with PURE's strategy and underwriting guidelines, operating within authority and documentation guidelines and following up on accounts and closing new business. Responsible for delivering excellent referral service to more junior Underwriters on the Underwriting team, and assisting in their development. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's Degree 5+ years high net worth insurance experience (Underwriting preferred) Demonstrated technical expertise and product specific knowledge Strong analytical skills Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners; including insurance Broker. Experience developing and executing on marketing plans and prospects Ability to be creative and adaptable in a changing business environment Sound, balanced and timely decision making skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software The base salary for this role can range from $75,000 to $95,000 based on a full-time work schedule. An individual's ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
