Maintenance Technician

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will work first shift from 6 am to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday, with the opportunity for overtime. In this role, you will spend 60% of your time on electrical tasks and 40% on mechanical tasks. You will troubleshoot PLC Allen-Bradley's, perform pneumatic repairs, read blueprints and schematics, and handle VFD tasks. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing and facility equipment. Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing and facility equipment. Perform electrical diagnostics, including work with variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, and CNC-controlled electrical systems. Ensure compliance with building and electrical codes for new, used, and relocated equipment. Plan and execute electrical projects, including generating bills of material and procuring supplies. Operate basic machine tools such as vertical mills, metal lathes, and surface grinders. Perform fabrication tasks; TIG, MIG, or stick welding skills preferred. Conduct facility upgrades and repairs involving carpentry, plumbing, roof repair, and painting. Support and participate in PSM-PM and Preventive Maintenance programs. Essential Skills

3-5 years of industrial electrical experience. Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC Allen-Bradley's and VFDs. Experience with pneumatic repairs. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and CAD equipment drawings. Strong attention to detail and capability to follow instructions and perform basic math calculations. Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and handling objects weighing 50100 pounds. Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces. Ability to operate aerial platform equipment and perform tasks at elevated heights. Additional Skills & Qualifications

You will work across multiple buildings, with a dedicated maintenance building equipped with all necessary tools. This is a Contract position based out of Kent, Ohio. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
