By applying to this U.S. Mountain View, CA position, you are required to be local to the San Francisco area and in office 3 days a week. Responsibilities
Own and drive the internal narrative and executive communications for the CVPs of Copilot Product and Engineering including org-wide updates, vision memos, All Hands materials, and internal storytelling that builds trust, drives clarity, and energizes the organization. Partner closely with the broader Microsoft AI communications team to craft and deliver compelling external narratives
ensuring message consistency while driving media engagement, industry influence, and public awareness of Copilot's product launches, innovations, and strategic vision. Bring familiarity and passion around AI product environments, leveraging your experience in fast-paced, product-driven organizations to shape messaging that resonates with technical teams and reflects a nuanced understanding of AI innovation, especially around Copilot. Shape and increase awareness of the executive voice, ensuring messaging is authentic, strategic, and scalable across internal and external channels. Manage design resources to deliver polished, on-brand communications at speed. Track impact and perception, using feedback loops and metrics to refine messaging and influence narrative direction. Own the comms calendar and cadence proactively manage content pipelines, key milestones, and event deliverables with precision and foresight. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 6 years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience 5 years of experience building formal internal communication plans 4 years of experience developing messaging for senior executives in environments undergoing organizational change and/or product evolution. 2 years of experience in a product development environment. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8 years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience 10 years in Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience Familiarity and passion for AI productsespecially Copilot or similar toolsand the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives. Demonstrated success operating in startup-like environments with shifting priorities, cross-functional collaboration, and high visibility. Experience exercising strategic judgment and scenario planning skills, including risk mitigation and stakeholder alignment. High emotional intelligence and the ability to influence leaders, push back diplomatically, and coach executive voice. Passion for storytelling as a lever for cultural cohesion, leadership maturity, and organizational enablement. Communications IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
