Legal Administrative Assistant
Addison Group is partnering with our client, a well-established law firm, to find an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team. This role offers the chance to support a group of accomplished attorneys in a collaborative and professional environment, with opportunities to contribute to both legal and general administrative tasks. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to attorneys, ensuring smooth daily operations within the department. You will handle a variety of tasks, from preparing legal documents and managing schedules to coordinating travel and assisting with client communications. Key responsibilities include: Providing high-level administrative and legal assistance to assigned attorneys, handling both legal and general office tasks. Drafting, revising, and proofreading correspondence, legal documents, and reports to ensure accuracy and proper formatting. Preparing and processing documents for e-filing with courts and administrative agencies. Organizing and maintaining both paper and electronic case files in accordance with firm standards. Coordinating schedules for meetings, hearings, and client appointments, ensuring attorneys are fully prepared. Arranging travel, preparing itineraries, and processing expense reports. Assisting in billing processes, including reviewing invoices and resolving discrepancies. Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely completion of legal filings and administrative projects. Greeting visitors and directing incoming calls in a professional manner. Collaborating with other administrative and support staff to complete office-wide functions. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or paralegal certification preferred. At least 3 years of legal administrative experience, preferably in commercial real estate or similar practice areas. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new software systems. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Additional details: Schedule: First month fully on-site, then hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, days determined by team/attorneys). Hours: Flexible start times (e.g., 8:005:00, 9:006:00, etc.).
