Investment Grade Loan Capital Markets Analyst
Mizuho's Banking Division provides corporate and investment banking coverage, sponsor coverage, advisory and solutions and loan capital markets/syndicate to Mizuho's client base of leading international corporations, financial institutions and public sector entities in the US and Canada. Banking supports client business activities throughout the region with an extensive range of capital markets and lending capabilities and an integrated team of coverage, advisory and product bankers responsible for client relationship management and strategic transaction development to execute banking and securities mandates and originate idea generation for potential acquisitions, divestitures and investment opportunities. Loan Capital Markets is responsible for originating, structuring, executing, and distributing loan products for the bank's 500+ corporate and sponsor clients across industry sectors. The group is a part of Mizuho's Debt Capital Markets Group, which is one of the top platforms in North America and is providing integrated debt solutions to its broad range of clients. Transactions include regular-way financings, acquisition and other event-driven structures, and project finance. The role collaborates with all parts of the bank, including sector coverage, M&A, Bonds, Rates, FX, and Credit teams. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Analyst to join the Investment Grade Loan Capital Markets (LCM) team at Mizuho Americas. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the origination, structuring, and syndication of loan transactions for a diverse portfolio of corporate, private equity and structured-finance clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, formal credit training, foundational knowledge of loan documentation, corporate and structured finance, including acquisition and project finance. Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine marketing materials tailored to sector-specific coverage areas. Assist senior LCM professionals in pitch preparation and client engagement strategies. Support the full lifecycle of loan syndication for investment-grade and structured finance transactions. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external banking partners. Track lender feedback, manage Q&A processes, and contribute to deal execution logistics. Monitor market trends, lender appetite, and pricing dynamics across institutional and banking channels. Provide insights to support client advisory and transaction structuring. Prepare internal reports, presentations, and responses to cross-functional requests. Maintain accurate records of deal progress and syndication outcomes. Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial institution, preferably in loan syndications, portfolio management, or project finance. Completion of formal credit training, with emphasis on banking products, credit analysis, and loan documentation. Solid understanding of syndicated loan origination and execution processes. Strong communication skillsboth written and verbalwith the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with financial platforms such as Dealogic, Bloomberg, LoanConnector, and/or data room tools like DebtDomain, Syndtrak. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The expected base salary ranges from $110K - $130k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
