2nd. Shift - Warehouse Ecommerce Associate

The E-Commerce Associate role within the Distribution Center ("DC") at Ocean State Job Lot ("OSJL") is responsible for processing customer outbound and return orders for OSJL's E-commerce channel in a timely fashion, and ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role is also responsible to support inventory activities such as cycle counting and bin moves while using the radio frequency ("RF") scanner in a manner that meets established standards in safety, quality, and productivity. Essential duties and responsibilities include: physically picking customer orders within the warehouse through several different processes or order types including, but not limited to, zone, reserve, and reserve splitting; moving pallets of freight containing orders, consolidating orders onto pallets as necessary, and wrapping full shipments so they can be run to the shipping lanes; properly building customer orders by sorting merchandise and packing into boxes or bags for small orders and ensuring goods are scanned to order; transporting store pallets of customer merchandise to shipping and wrap machines; counting and verifying bin locations and stock keeping units ("SKU") via a cycle count process as needed; helping and assisting fellow associates with team lift on heavy items; escalating any SKU discrepancy to management as needed, such as mis-labeling issues or damaged goods; supporting the BOSS Return To Warehouse ("BRTW"), or returns process, by validating the condition of the return and processing the goods either to stock or as a damaged item; maintaining and tracking customer order and in-store dates to ensure customer orders are received in a timely fashion; inspecting all goods against the customer order to validate that the orders are picked properly and that the goods are in pristine condition; processing BRTW orders by verifying the condition of returned merchandise prior to returning goods back to stock for resale or processing the return through the damaged goods process; and using OSJL DC machinery to support the picking, sorting and staging process including, but not limited to, use of stockpiler, pallet jack, and pump jack. Additionally, the role requires inspecting and signing out equipment on a daily basis, working in compliance with standard operating procedures and OSHA requirements, maintaining a neat, orderly and clean work area, and meeting or exceeding area safety, quality, and productivity standards. Education and experience requirements include attention to detail and results oriented; ability to learn to use a RF scanner; ability to operate powered industrial equipment and obtain any applicable license; ability to meet area productivity, quality, safety, housekeeping, and attendance standards; basic math and English reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Work environment includes working primarily in a distribution center environment, responsible for physical activities including using equipment, positioning self to properly complete tasks, ascending and descending to heights of 20 feet or more, moving and transporting merchandise on a frequent basis; should be able to lift and move 50 lbs of material on a regular basis. The warehouse environment is characterized by temperature extremes, noise, movement of conveyors and equipment, and other conditions associated with the operation of a high volume distribution center.
