Building And Grounds Facilities Maintenance Worker

Building maintenance workers are responsible for performing repair and construction work for dealerships including operating hand and power tools, light and heavy equipment. Perform general duties such as re-lamping lights and removal of recycled materials, basic carpentry needed to maintain and repair facilities, assisting Maintenance Technicians in making repairs to dealership property, tools and equipment, meeting the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform duties, working independently in the absence of supervision. Possess the skills and ability to keep records of maintenance and repairs performed and perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. General maintenance and repair experience. Valid, unrestricted driver's license for more than 3 years. Physical demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to spend considerable time standing, climbing ladders, crawling, driving, kneeling, stooping, crouching, squatting, twisting upper body, and lifting, moving, and relocating heavy objects weighing up to 75 pounds. Work Environment - Significant amount of time may be spent working outdoors and in inclement weather; working around electrical, mechanical, and equipment.
