Nutrition Assistant
The posted compensation range of $18.00 - $20.89 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. As our Nutrition Assistant, you will interact daily with patients, families, visitors, and staff. You understand that most guests at our facility dine with us for a reason, and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about. Every day, you will provide nutritious food to patients, families, visitors, and staff to help promote their health and healing. You will follow the standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures for the healthcare food service industry, which includes monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes. You will collaborate with the facility staff to ensure optimal nutritional care in all healthcare food service operations while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities: Ensures all food handling areas are sanitized and disinfected for the safety of employees, patients, and guests. Exhibits high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production. Accurately portions meals and beverages including attention to detail concerning dietary restrictions, while ensuring an aesthetically pleasing presentation. Supports team members in all areas of food services including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage, etc. Qualifications: Minimum: One (1) year of Food Service experience A Food Handlers Permit within 30-days of hire Preferred: High School Diploma Preferred: Cashier experience Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429 bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around Chandler, Arizona.
