Radiology Technologist
The Radiology Technologist will produce radiographs of various anatomical parts and systems for diagnostic purposes as directed by the radiologist. Essential Job Functions: Regular, consistent, on-site, and timely attendance. Collect pertinent data about the patient and procedure. Provide information to the patient about the procedure. Analyze the information obtained during assessment phase and determines optimal imaging parameters per diagnosis. Administer contrast agents according to established guidelines (if applicable). Obtain optimum images during exam/procedure. Document information about patient care, exam, and patient history in appropriate record (where applicable). Facilitate correspondence with all departments to assure procedures are done in a timely manner (where applicable). Maintain equipment and work station in optimum condition. Implement downtime procedures when necessary (where applicable). Cognitive ability to function and concentrate on the essential and specialty functions of the job at a high level. Achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing an essential or specialty function of the job. Ability to think and concentrate for an entire shift. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Completion of a (JRCERT) accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by ARRT. Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, and sound judgment. Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience. Preferred Qualifications: Previous Radiology Technologist experience (1 year). License, Certification & Clearances: ARRT registry eligible as a radiologic technologist. Must obtain Registry within 18 months of hire date. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program. Act 33 renewal Act 34 renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Regular, consistent, on-site and timely attendance. Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.). Travel may be expected locally between Excela Health locations.
