We are looking for a Director of Nursing to be help us fulfill our mission of providing 'Loving Care to the Glory of God.'About Highland OaksSmall 52-bed long-term care, skilled nursing facilityFamily-like atmosphere among residents and staff5-Star CMS rating7:1 CNA ratio26:1 Staff/Floor Nurse ratioAdditional administrative nursing team includes a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing, a full-time Clinical Care Coordinator, a full-time MDS Coordinator and a part-time Infection Preventionist.Position ResponsibilitiesLead the nursing team to ensure that our residents are receiving the highest quality of care.Responsible for directing and coordinating the day-to-day nursing care of the residents in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.Oversee nursing processes, such as assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation.Provide support and advocacy for residents, their families and staff.Assist in family relations, addressing questions and concerns regarding their resident's health and nursing care.Identify risk management needs and initiate root-cause analysis.Interview, hire, orientate and schedule nurses.Assume responsibility of the facility's operation in the absence of the Administrator.Perform other duties as assigned by the AdministratorScheduleWeekdays: Either 5 8-hour days or 4 10-hour daysMust be accessible on nights and weekends when concerns ariseBenefitsPaid time off (minimum of 4 weeks)Health (BCBS), dental, vision and life insurancePensionRequirements Current RN License in IllinoisCompassion for the geriatric populationStrong leadership skills: hands-on, approachable, team-playerExcellent verbal, organizational and communication skillsCritical thinking and problem-solving skills Salary Description $95,000-$110,000
