Location: Itasca, Illinois Assignment Type: 3 month contract with the possibility of conversion Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 / Hourly depending on relevant experience This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). ***Must be located in the Chicagoland area!!** Job Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger in accordance with GAAP. Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including account reconciliations and supporting schedules. Support cost accounting activities such as maintaining standard costs, analyzing manufacturing variances, and reconciling work orders. Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Assist in preparing financial reports and variance analyses for management review. Partner with plant and operations staff to ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting. Maintain fixed asset records and track capital projects. Help prepare documentation for audits and compliance requirements. Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Why choose Addison Finance and Accounting?
