A&P Mechanic
The A&P Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft. This role requires meticulous documentation of all tasks performed, in accordance with appropriate manuals and regulations. Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft. Document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations. Operate ground support equipment as required. Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations. Assist with fuel and de-fuel of aircraft. Assist with engine removal and installation. Assist with aircraft component repair. Essential Skills
Hold an A&P Certificate. Possess at least 4-5 years of experience working on aircraft or 1-2 years working on corporate jets. Have at least 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience or substantiated equivalent experience. Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings. Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form regarding individual and aircraft status. Own a basic set of hand tools and demonstrate inventory and control of tools. Obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required. Ability to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays. Ability to work in seasonal or inclement weather conditions. Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA), if applicable. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with corporate jet aircraft, military fixed-wing, or commercial aircraft is preferred. Basic PC skills are preferred. Work Environment
The role has a first shift, a second shift (Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm to 2:00am), and a weekend shift (Friday-Sunday working three 12-hour days, totaling 36 hours, but paid for 40 hours). Why Work Here
