Athletic Department Apparel Coordinator
Purchase, receive, and replace all Athletic department apparel, footwear, and accessories for all NCAA D1 intercollegiate teams, camps/clinics, and Athletics administrative programs. Position Specific Responsibilities Purchase, receive, and replace all Athletic department apparel, footwear, accessories for all NCAA D1 intercollegiate teams, camps/clinics/academies, and Athletics administrative programs. Communicate order updates, changes and cancellations effectively with staff. Maintain a thorough and accurate electronic and physical inventory. Prepare regular management reports reconciling inventory results. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure asset protection, reduce loss and maintain inventory control. Coordinate annual replacement of apparel, shoes, accessories and equipment within established budget and sport needs. Work collaboratively with Athletics Business office, sport coaches and LMU Marketing staff to forecast cyclical sport needs. Serve as purchasing contact for apparel sponsor and other apparel and equipment vendors. Coordinate logos, screens and embroidery orders with Marketing and external vendors. Ensure that refunds, returns and exchanges are properly handled, accounted for, and coordinated with the Athletics business office. Maintain program/sport budget accountability with Athletics Business office. May support laundry and other business operations as needed. May support home-game management operations as needed. Represent LMU within Athletics community and at professional organizations or associations, serve on committees as required. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Participate in an annual evaluation of adherence to rules compliance (LMU, Athletic Department, Sports Conference Affiliations, and NCAA) with immediate supervisor. Conduct evaluation of adherence to rules compliance (LMU, Athletic Department, Sport Conference Affiliations, and NCAA) with all assigned personnel on an annual basis. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Requisite Qualifications Typically a Bachelor's Degree or related field or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes. Minimum three years' experience in progressively responsible positions. Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of Athletics uniform and equipment planning, purchasing and inventory control. Demonstrated knowledge of standard practices, processes, materials. Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing management reports. Highly developed organizational and leadership skills. Demonstrated computer competency and preferably knowledgeable of Excel, other Office systems and inventory management systems.
