Construction Laborer

As a Commercial Roofer or Sheet Metal Installer, you will leverage your skills in roofing to work on commercial properties. Your role will involve the installation, maintenance, and repair of roofs, focusing on sheet metal work while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are met. You will be responsible for the layout, fabrication, and installation of metal edge systems, coping caps, gutters, downspouts, and custom flashings. Responsibilities

Fabricate, form, and install various sheet metal components including edge metal, coping, fascia, gutters, downspouts, and flashings. Read and interpret shop drawings, specifications, and roof plans. Operate brakes, shears, hand tools, and power tools to cut and shape metal. Ensure proper fastening, sealing, and alignment of metal components per job requirements. Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems including flat roofs, metal roofs, and shingles. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. Perform welding tasks as needed for metal roofing installations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or areas needing repair. Utilize metal stud framing techniques when required for structural support. Engage in remodeling projects that involve roofing elements. Execute concrete forming tasks as necessary for roof foundations or supports. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local building codes and regulations. Essential Skills

Construction experience. Roofing expertise. Ability to supervise. Proficiency in reading blueprints. Experience with power tools and hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a roofer or in a related construction field. Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics. Ability to weld and work with various roofing materials. Familiarity with metal stud framing techniques is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety practices within the construction industry. Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
