Turnkey Finance to play a pivotal role in supporting our Turnkey Operations team. This is more than a finance roleit's a chance to be at the intersection of project execution, financial strategy, and operational excellence. In this dynamic, project-based position, you'll lead financial analysis, manage invoicing and inventory transactions, and partner with teams across the organization to drive informed decision-making. You'll also help shape the financial framework of turnkey projects from bid to completion, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and impact every step of the way. The Senior Analyst, Turnkey Finance is responsible for providing finance business support to our Turnkey Operations team including finance/accounting support for invoicing, inventory management, related transactions and reconciliations in our ERP system, and related financial analysis. While reporting into the accounting and finance team, this role will be heavily involved with and supporting the Turnkey Operations team. Eventually this role will expand its scope to include the bids / proposal phase of the projects and supporting associated accounting and revenue recognition considerations and working with technical resources within the accounting team. Prioritization and direction of key projects will be provided by the Operational Finance Manager, Director of Accounting & External Reporting and the Director
Turnkey Operations. This is an individual contributor (i.e. no direct reports) and project-based role that will routinely interact with cross-functional leadership to support and aid business decision-making to drive positive financial outcomes. This role requires flexibility both in terms of priorities as well as location depending upon business needs. Job Duties:
Assist the project managers with tasks including timely invoicing of each turnkey project including associated product, installation and ancillary invoicing amounts; Recording the appropriate transactions associated with each turnkey project including vendor PO receipts; Performing a reconciliation of inventory on a monthly basis and supporting quarterly physical inventory counts of each warehouse; Assisting with collections of invoices and explaining invoiced amounts to customers as needed. Act as the liaison with the broader accounting team to ensure appropriate adjustments and journal entries are recorded related to each turnkey project. Provide monthly forecast of revenue to be recognized / billed to customers to support the global financial projection performed by the FP&A team. Assist with providing monthly financial reporting for each Turnkey project including a P&L by project as well as inventory and cash positions; Partner with finance / accounting, Turnkey Operations and other cross-functional teams to identify and develop financial performance metrics. Support of turnkey projects from bid / RFP response through project wrap-up and final closure of the project (working with cost accounting to set up inventory part numbers and appropriate costing; reviewing of quote entry into the ERP system; reviewing and summarizing third party installer information to determine monthly invoicing, managing customer credits; reviewing proposed contracts for unusual elements, installation services, and associated BEACON (SaaS) revenue). Assist with and lead the implementation of finance / accounting related process improvements within the Turnkey Operations to meet the needs of the business and proper accounting activities. Identify baseline (current state) and required (future state) metrics to support informed decision making and communication. Use Badger Meter-defined software to develop high-quality reports / models for finance / accounting and Turnkey Operations teams with the goal of automating and streamlining business processes. Utilize financial analysis tools and techniques to develop and provide predictive forecasts for finance / accounting and Turnkey Operations teams and new business process improvement and optimization opportunities. Up to 10% travel required. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required 5+ years of related experience in financial planning and analysis, controlling, cost accounting, customer profitability, or other finance special projects preferred Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) required CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred Competencies:
