Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required. Master's degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Epic certifications (e.g., Clarity Data Model, Caboodle Development, Revenue or Access Data Model) preferred. Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Ten (10) years of experience in healthcare data analytics or revenue cycle reporting required. Five (5) years of leadership experience required. Extensive experience with Epic systems required, specifically with Epic Cogito. Experience working in a large, multi-disciplinary, integrated healthcare delivery system preferred. Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement training preferred. Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and enterprise data architecture. In-depth understanding of revenue cycle functions including access, billing, claims, denials, and collections. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and working with executive stakeholders. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Snowflake, preferred. Key competencies include Strategic Leadership, Operational Insight, Advanced Data Fluency, Communication and Influence, Change Management, and Technical and Analytical Expertise. Principal Accountabilities Leads the vision, strategy, and execution of reporting and analytics initiatives across Memorial Hermann's Enterprise Revenue Cycle. Manages and develops a high-performing team of analysts, and collaborates with central Epic Cogito team developers. Partners closely with operational, information systems, and clinical stakeholders to understand performance metrics and align reporting solutions with organizational objectives; collaborates with MHHS Enterprise Analytics team. Leverages Epic's Cogito suite (Clarity, Caboodle, Radar, Slicer Dicer) to partner with central analytics in enhancement and development of reporting constructs. Drives data architecture strategy to support scalable, accurate, and timely reporting across multiple revenue cycle domains. Champions the use of self-service analytics tools, data storytelling, and visualizations for executive-level reporting. Ensures compliance with regulatory, security, and governance standards for enterprise data usage. Identifies and resolves gaps in data accessibility, reliability, and user adoption. Provides thought leadership around emerging trends in healthcare analytics and revenue optimization. Participates in monthly central analytics leadership meetings, contributes to central analytical methodology development, and ensures domain analytics initiatives align with health system-wide data governance policies, quality standards, and strategic priorities. Adheres to and helps refine central analytical frameworks, statistical methodologies, and reporting standards established by the central analytics team while adapting these approaches to meet specific domain requirements. Collaborates with other domain analytics staff through the central analytics team to share best practices, avoid duplicative efforts, leverage common analytical assets, and contribute to enterprise-wide analytical capabilities and data infrastructure planning. Provides domain expertise to inform health system data strategy, participates in central analytics project prioritization, and ensures domain analytics roadmap supports broader organizational objectives while meeting specific service line performance goals. Participates in central analytics team professional development initiatives, maintains analytical competencies consistent with enterprise standards, and contributes to organizational analytical talent development and knowledge sharing. Escalates analytical methodology conflicts or resource allocation issues through the central analytics leadership when domain priorities conflict with enterprise analytical standards or when cross-domain analytical coordination is required. Participates in dual performance assessment processes with both the VP for Revenue Cycle Operations and the central analytics team leaders, receiving technical competency and methodology adherence feedback from central analytics, and domain effectiveness feedback from both parties. Provides upward feedback to the VP for Revenue Cycle Operations on domain analytics support needs and operational effectiveness, and to the central analytics team leaders on enterprise methodology applicability, resource adequacy, and cross-domain collaboration opportunities. Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as a resource to less experienced staff.
