Are you living your life's work? Supervises the operations of the PHBH Inpatient Admissions Department. Assists the Admissions Office and Emergency Department with the assessment and evaluation of patients seeking psychiatric/behavioral healthcare in a managed care environment. Demonstrates competency in assessing adults (18+). Assists the department managers with training of junior staff. Supervises the operations of the PHBH Inpatient Admissions Department while maintaining clinical responsibilities. Assists Crisis Clinicians in managing clinical crises and provides senior level clinical expertise with difficult cases. Assists department managers and Director of Inpatient Admissions with orienting/training of staff. Provides accurate assessment of patients requiring evaluation at the Princeton House Admissions Office and the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro Emergency Department to determine appropriate level of care required. Demonstrates the following clinical competencies: Assessment of adults (18+) Knowledge of current DSM and ASAM criteria. Skilled in suicide risk assessment and crisis intervention. Works with managed care companies to ensure appropriate level of care by providing a clear and concise clinical picture when obtaining or overseeing the pre-certification process. Performs telephone assessments and schedules routine evaluations at the Admissions Office. Completes verification of benefits and patient registrations when required. Assists with the coordination of transfers for voluntary and involuntary patients from the Behavioral Health Emergency Department, PMPMC Medical floors and other outside referral sites as needed. Masters Degree in appropriate Mental Health Discipline plus 2 or more years of post masters experience in an inpatient or crisis setting or Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience on a crisis or inpatient setting.
