UNRL is seeking a talented and experienced Associate Product Developer & Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of new products, from concept to final sample. This involves building tech packs and communicating directly with our manufacturers to develop and evaluate proto samples until they are ready for bulk production. Developers are responsible for ensuring the final product meets (or exceeds) our quality standards, margin requirements, and deadlines. This role requires strong project management skills, along with a keen eye for garment construction, fit, materials and design details. Our ideal candidate is someone with at least three years of relevant experience in the apparel industry. We're looking for a go-getter who is passionate about creating some of the most innovative and versatile products on the market. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and identify seasonal color themes, present findings to the commercialization team, and request lab dips. Iterate requests until lab dips are finalized and approved. Maintain and update the mother lab dip sample collection, organizing it in two bindersone for the office and one for off-site QC inspectionsensuring accuracy and accessibility. Oversee the organization, storage, record-keeping, and archival processes for pre-production samples (PPS) to maintain an efficient workflow. Create unique, innovative products aligned with the UNRL brand aesthetic while adhering to established quality standards. Develop comprehensive tech packs with clear, detailed instructions to transform design concepts into production-ready prototypes. Ensure a cohesive fit across product lines by maintaining consistency in the grading process. Serve as the primary point of contact with suppliers, communicating product details, timelines, and other critical information effectively. Monitor and manage development timelines to meet seasonal deadlines, providing regular updates to all relevant departments to keep stakeholders informed. Assess prototypes for design, fit, fabric, and trims; provide detailed feedback to suppliers and refine garments until they are production-ready. Curate inspiration decks, line sheets, and assortment plans for seasonal collections, researching and identifying athleisure industry trends to maintain a competitive edge. Measure and review garment actuals against specified standards, scheduling fit sessions with the fit team to achieve an optimal fit. Secure photoshoot-ready samples for the Marketing team, accompanied by a demo and a product brief highlighting key campaign details. Requirements:
3+ years of experience in Product Development focusing on grading, garment construction, and technical design processes specific to apparel 3+ years of experience measuring garments, creating spec sheets and grading tables Keen eye for identifying quality designs, textiles, trims, and workmanship Strong understanding of performance fabrics and garment construction is preferred Vast knowledge of sewing techniques, stitching properties and construction details Deadline and detail oriented with strong project management skills Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency Experience with print/pattern and other graphic design styles is preferred Proficient in Adobe Illustrator Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience with understanding costs and gross margins Experience with Clo3D is a bonus Passion for sport and athleisure apparel is preferred Benefits:

However, there is a broader salary range that allows for future growth and advancement. Salary levels are determined by factors such as the role, experience level, and job location. Within the established range, compensation is influenced by skills, competencies, relevant experience, education, training, and market demand.
