Semiconductor Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing production processes, ensuring quality output, and driving continuous improvement within our plant. You will supply guidance and direction in troubleshooting basic technical problems, provide training for operators, and assist manufacturing in the daily needs of processing quality wafers. You will meet the demands of cycle time, throughput, and output. Responsibilities

Lead the shift in proper manufacturing protocol, behavior, and quality practices. Train employees, plan, assign, and direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, and address complaints and resolve problems. Prepare regular reports and present performance updates to management. Champion a culture of safety, ensuring strict adherence to all safety protocols and practices. Guide and mentor operators to enhance their skills and knowledge in EPI Semiconductor manufacturing processes. Facilitate inter-shift communication to provide feedback on problems, opportunities, and accomplishments. Provide guidance to operators for troubleshooting basic technical problems to minimize production impact. Participate actively in continuous improvement methodologies and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and overall product quality. Collaborate with the Production Manager and other department heads to execute production schedules aligning with customer demands and production capabilities. Perform manufacturing tasks as necessary to meet throughput goals, including tool operation. Directly supervise Line Leads, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in line with organizational policies and laws. Essential Skills

Proven experience as a Supervisor in a semiconductor manufacturing environment or related manufacturing operation. Production management and supervision skills. Knowledge of semiconductor industry processes. Continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to train and mentor employees. Strong communication and leadership skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or two years of related experience and/or training. Some knowledge of 6S and lean methodologies is advantageous. Experience with MRP systems; any version is acceptable. Willingness to engage in various tasks, including shipping, receiving, relabeling parts, and storing test wafers. Why Work Here?

The work environment is climate-controlled and involves working in a semiconductor fab area with cleanroom protocols and attire. Supervisors are expected to spend approximately 80% of their time on the production floor and 20% at a desk outside of the fab area. Training will take place Monday to Friday for two weeks, followed by two months of process learning on the floor before assuming the full supervisor role. Shift C involves working every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr. 6% 401K, vacation, holiday, cleanroom, no bonuses Workplace Type
