Design Quality Specialist
Forvia Hella is seeking its next great Design Quality Specialist to join our team. The primary function of this role will be to ensure industry, customer and Forvia Hella quality standards are consistent through our product development cycles for our body controls products. This individual will be joining a well established and growing international team that is helping to move our electronics division forward. Daily Responsibilities Define and implement design quality strategy, including project-specific quality targets and milestones. Conduct FMEAs and risk analyses, determine release criteria, and coordinate initial sample inspections (e.g., APQP/PPAP). Ensure correct use of quality tools (e.g., FMEA, control plans, GD&T); perform audits and reviews of development processes including hardware, software, and mechanical design. Lead root cause investigations, implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and escalate quality issues when needed. Define test items with customers, coordinate inspections, support audits, and ensure supplier and customer quality alignment. Prepare quality status reports, monitor audits, initiate process optimizations, and support rollout of new global standards. Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electronics or similar) 3+ years of experience regulating automotive quality or product development activities Minimum of 2 complete products design cycles Strong command of core quality tools and methods (including Control Plans, FMEAs, GD&T, measurement techniques, and communication skills) Ability to work in a dynamic international environment. Experience with body controls, hardware electronics, and the Aspice are preferred but not required Why Forvia Hella?
