Truck Driver
Under the direction of the Production Coordinator, Transportation Manager or Production Manager, the driver picks up and delivers shell and tube heat exchangers, parts and components from Customers, shop, and/or vendor's customers. Essential Duties Complete all deliveries that can be made using company vehicles, ensuring safe and timely transport of materials to designated locations. Must possess and maintain a clean driving record that meets the standards set by company policy and applicable insurance guidelines Maintains a detailed and accurate log of mileage driven daily, in compliance with company policy and any applicable DOT regulations Performs basic maintenance and minor repairs to vehicles; reports and follows up on major repairs. Performs required daily vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational readiness. Ensure driving and parking areas for trucks and employees are kept clear, safe, and orderly Perform production-related duties when not driving or delivering materials Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner, avoiding all unsafe practices Aid crane operator by visual and vocal signals when parts are being moved Assist shipping and receiving operations by preparing shipments, unloading deliveries, and confirming materials against documentation Responsible for accurate record-keeping, including tracking delivery details, vehicle maintenance logs, and other related reports as required by company policy Requires the ability to sit and stand for up to two hours at a time, with a balanced mix of both throughout the workday Follows all safety protocols and adheres to company and DOT regulations Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is required Ability to read and write English language, must possess and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for truck use; must possess and maintain a current Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card, must pass a DOT physical and drug screen prior to employment, must follow DOT regulations and company policy Work Schedule Requirements
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed based on production demands or delivery schedules; must be able to work rotating shifts. Working Conditions
May be exposed to varying weather conditions and shop noise: cold, hot, dusty, dirty, noisy, requires a 50 lb. lifting ability, must be able to bend, lift, push/pull, climb, squat, crawl and reach overhead, exposed to normal shop hazards.
