Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing mechanical repairs within a designated area of the plant, as well as supporting maintenance and repair needs across the entire facility. You will work on a variety of machinery including powder metal presses, heat treat furnaces, CNC machinery, and conveyor belts. Responsibilities

Independently troubleshoot problems and complete corrective mechanical and electrical repairs. Determine if machine parts can be repaired or replaced and execute accordingly. Correct maintenance issues independently in all plant areas. Prepare requisitions for spare and repair parts for presentation to department leaders. Assist and advise outside contractors on project work. Plan and implement preventative maintenance program assignments. Provide assistance and advice to Engineering and other support groups as needed. Perform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork. Help train and assist operators as required. Conduct periodic maintenance on machines as needed. Participate in team problem-solving as part of the continuous improvement process. Use various testing devices and chemicals following appropriate guidelines. Perform material handling activities using equipment like forklifts. Understand and perform functions related to significant environmental aspects in your area. Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Wear all personal protective equipment as required by safety policies. Be responsible for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment, and tools. Adhere to the Quality Policy, taking pride in the products produced. Essential Skills

Hydraulics and Pneumatics expertise. Experience in industrial maintenance and repair. PLC troubleshooting and electrical maintenance. Mechanical troubleshooting. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience. MIG welding. Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Geneva, Illinois. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
