$63,816.96 About Us: Established in 1975 by an act of the Virginia General Assembly, the Capital Region Airport Commission owns and operates Richmond International Airport (RIC). The Commission directs the growth, operation and business activities of RIC and works tirelessly to ensure it continues to be an affordable option for local, regional, and out-of-state travelers. General Summary: Responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repairs of all electrical systems owned and operated by the Capital Region Airport Commission. These will include all normal building related systems, landside lighting for parking lots and roadways, and specialized systems that are specifically related to the commercial airport industry. Required Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years' experience involving commercial electrical system maintenance and repair. Completion of a technical or apprenticeship program in the electrical trade. Possession of, or the ability to obtain a Virginia State Electrical certification at the Journeyman level is preferred but not mandatory. Required Skills: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all CRAC owned electrical systems and equipment to include the following: Runway and taxiway airfield lighting and control systems. This includes fixture relamping, fixture rebuilding and underground cable fault locating and repair. Electrical service and distribution equipment in the airfield lighting vaults. This includes troubleshooting and repairing constant current regulators, lighting control systems, emergency generators and automatic transfer switches. Automatic vehicle gates include both mechanical and electrical components.
