The Head Of ERM Operations is responsible for managing a team to ensure the optimized execution of impactful Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategies through the embedding of a consistent, value-adding and flexible risk management framework across the enterprise which enables a strong and capable second line to support the enterprise to achieve its strategic objectives. What you will do includes: Risk Governance: Ensure that governance processes related to the enterprise risk management framework are optimized and proportionate, to support the enterprise in achieving its strategic objectives. Risk Reporting: Responsible to facilitate and coordinate with all necessary enterprise stakeholders on the preparation of comprehensive yet concise 2nd line reporting for all necessary risk committees, boards, regulators, rating agencies and other stakeholders. ERM Software Platform: Manage a team responsible for the design and maintenance of technology, tools, processes and documentation used within the risk management framework to facilitate efficient and effective risk assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting. Risk Culture & Communications: Support the optimization of RGA's Risk Culture by leading the Risk Communication Plan, including emails, videos, podcasts, and screen savers. Support risk initiatives that span the risk taxonomy including supporting thematic risk reviews that span both financial and non-financial risk domains. Lead, manage and mentor a team of direct reports to carry out the responsibilities of the team. Perform management duties, including, but not limited to hiring, training, evaluating, and coaching direct reports. Serves as a lead enterprise risk framework advisor to the VP, Head of Global Risk Oversight & Operational Risk. Acts as a corporate advocate for all enterprise risk management policies, processes, leading practices and methodologies. Help foster a culture of risk awareness within the organization. Qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) MBA, FSA or CPA/CA preferred 10+ Years of experience in enterprise risk management or related risk fields with responsibilities for management reporting and governance required 5+ Years management experience required Experience working in enterprise risk management disciplines with a focus on governance required Cross company and/or cross industry risk management experience preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of direct reports required Excellent ability to drive to conclusions and deliver results on a timely basis required Advanced analytical and problem solving skills utilizing experience, research, guidelines, and internal resource networks required Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational issues required Advanced project management skills Expert skills in managing multiple tasks, projects, and/or sub-teams simultaneously Ability to foster a collaborative, teamwork oriented and customer service focused environment Recognized enterprise risk management designation or education preferred What you can expect from RGA: Gain valuable knowledge from and experience with diverse, caring colleagues around the world. Compensation Range: $146,950.00 - $218,950.00 Annual. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
