Protective Service Agent

The Security and Safety department is looking for a Protective Service Agent with prior security experience to add to our team. The ideal candidate would have previous corporate security experience and be familiar with ASIS standards. The role requires attention to detail and situational awareness while monitoring access to the facility. Quarterly training and proficient marksmanship scores are required as part of the role. All candidates will be expected to receive and maintain all state required license and training as an armed security officer. This position operates on a two-shift schedule: First Shift: 6:00 AM

2:30 PM Mid Shift: 10:30 AM

7:00 PM Monday through Friday Flexibility is essential. Team members must be available to work outside of standard hoursincluding evenings, weekends, and holidaysas needed to support special events, training sessions, or respond to critical incidents. 24/7 availability is required. As part of the interview process, you will be required to complete a Fitness Assessment and Psychological Exam. Job Responsibilities

Performing security patrols and enforcing identification procedures for employees. Investigating and writing reports on accidents, incidents, or suspicious activities. Providing security measures and assistance to employees when incidents occur. Maintaining proficiency with all assigned weapons and using the appropriate degree of physical force and/or weaponry as situation dictates. Incumbent must be available 24/7, may have to work weekends and holidays. Job Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Criminal Justice or related field Experience: 3 years experience in a corporate security role, P.O.S.T. certified law enforcement role, active or reserve military or National Guard role, or a combination of the two in the past 10 years required Skills/Certifications: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Must qualify with weapons and have a background check, which would not preclude a security clearance granted Offer will be contingent on an intensive background check, including social media and psychological exam. Must have certifications for non-lethal weapons carried or obtain within 30 days of hire. Must have CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or obtain within 30 days of hire. Must have the Certified Protection Officer (CPO) certification by the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) or obtain within 1 year of hire. License: Valid Driver's License Licensed armed security officer, or ability to be licensed per TN statute within 30 days of hire. Must meet the requirements for licensing, qualification, physical fitness testing, and firearm evaluation/testing upon hire and as required post-hire, as outlined in the "Use of Weapons for Armed Security Personnel" policy. Employees who are required to operate either a BCBST-owned vehicle or a personal or rental vehicle for company business on a routine basis will be automatically enrolled into the BCBST Driver Safety Program. The employee will also be required to adhere to the guidelines set forth through the program. This includes maintaining a valid driver's license, auto insurance compliance with minimum liability requirements; as defined in the "Use of Non BCBST-Owned Vehicle" Policy (for employees driving personal or rental vehicles only); and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR). The definition for "routine basis" is defined as daily, weekly, or at regularly scheduled times.
