Quoting Technician
Our client has an exciting opportunity within their Estimating Department for a Quoting Technician. This fast-paced, hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys managing quoting projects from start to finish. The Quoting Technician will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations based on customer blueprints and/or samples using established procedures. This position also supports production with Bill of Materials (BOM), routing information, and sample part approvals. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare quotes including labor steps and material requirements to manufacture parts Analyze customer blueprints and samples to determine job specifications Communicate directly with customers to gather necessary information for quotations Obtain raw material pricing from vendors and incorporate into estimates Work closely with production to ensure tooling and materials are available before job launch Create and maintain Bill of Materials and update labor time as needed Develop detailed assembly instructions for use in the production process Inspect and approve all initial sample parts from production for quality and accuracy Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and Lookup Tables Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting software Why This Role?
