Associate Trader
The Group: Advyzon Investment Management (AIM) is a Turnkey Asset Management Program (TAMP) that offers investment solutions and operations outsourcing to advisors. AIM was launched in 2022 as a new subsidiary of Advyzon, which was founded in 2012 with the purpose of building an intuitive, all-in-one technology for advisory firms. AIM provides disciplined investment management solutions built upon an intuitive user experience and personalized relationship based service model. The trading group within AIM is responsible for trading client accounts to keep them in line with model portfolio target allocations. The Role: We're seeking an Associate Trader to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for trading in client accounts to address day-to-day cash flows, target drift due to market movements, portfolio allocation changes, tax loss harvesting, and other portfolio changes. This is an entry level role and we are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right candidate. The role is based in our Lisle office. Responsibilities: Analyze client portfolios, calculate trades, and execute trades on a daily basis, to keep portfolios in line with assigned AIM, advisor, third party strategist, and unified managed account portfolio targets Maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders including advisors, portfolio managers, custodians, third party vendors, other investment operations teams, and other functions within Advyzon to contribute to the efficient operation of our investment program The person will play a supportive role in the evolution of the trade team and its processes, escalating operational risks and effectively partnering with technology and global operations resources to address technology barriers Support the trading operations associated with running our portfolios through a variety of third-party distribution platforms Occasionally, on slow trading days, assist the investment research team with various research, analysis, reporting, and other investment tasks As necessary, onboard new advisor accounts and work through transitions, with a critical eye toward taxes, alternative / illiquid securities and account customizations Performs other duties as assigned by management Skills/Qualifications: Excellent math and analytical skills Ability to learn and effectively use Advyzon's trading software Flexible and organized enough to learn and work with software from at least six custodians Strong organizational and time management skills - ability to handle fast paced and deadline driven environment Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; the person in this role must maintain a sharp focus during market hours and minimize distractions. Flexible and adaptable during strategic operational developments. Integrity is a must in this role Advanced Excel skills are advantageous Creativity, the desire to innovate, and investing passion. Solid understanding of financial markets, money movement and trading attributes, including realized gains. Ability to problem solve and determine the most effective method of problem resolutions while complying with corporate and regulatory procedures. Requirements: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; interest in obtaining MBA, CFP/CFA a plus Basic knowledge of a variety of financial products including; managed portfolios, TAMP solutions, stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds Previous personal or professional security trading experience is welcome, but not necessary A strong interest in financial markets and Asset Management
