Clinical Auditor Supervisor Educator

The role you'll contribute: Performs inpatient, outpatient and audits related to patient billing in assigned area. Researches and analyzes charges, CPT coding, and national coverage decisions in conjunction with medical charts to ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party payers as well as to ensure appropriate reimbursement. Advises, educates and acts as clinical/billing liaison between ancillary departments, finance and business office staff. Ensures charge accuracy by reviewing patient charts and corresponding charges for appropriateness. Provide recommendations to ensure compliance; improve procedures, revenue, cash flow, and strengthen controls. Performs follow-up audits when appropriate. Produce and distribute reporting on errors to management and staff as well as provide necessary educational training. Also performs other duties as assigned. All additional duties are completed in an acceptable manner and in a reasonable amount of time. Provide supervision and education to all regional auditors in department. The value you'll bring to the team: Maintain continuing education that will enable the position to perform audits of new and existing revenue areas Assignments are completed and results documented in the time frame provided. Educate staff as appropriate to address concerns identified in audit of patient charts/charges Educate all Regional auditors in area of Supervision (ED, OR or Inpt/Obs) Supervisor to all Regional Auditors in area of Supervision (ED, OR or Inpt/Obs) Performs monthly accuracy audits of Auditors work.
