Duties and Responsibilities:
The identification and satisfaction of customer needs is the most critical factor in securing the long-term success of CSI. Continuous energy must be placed on understanding how the processes employed can be understood, controlled, re-engineered, and results measured so that customer satisfaction is experienced. One of the principal emphases of this position is the utilization of testing techniques and the application of quality tools to reduce process and product variation, and to support the development of manufacturing quality control plans that ensure products are produced to target. Critical to this is: Understanding customer needs and the corresponding product/service features designed to meet those needs. The testing and execution of product performance test procedures that are predictive of what the customer and end user can expect to receive. The development, implementation, and audit of manufacturing control plans and standard operating procedures to which adherence will result in products that are produced to target. Another principal challenge of this position is to provide accurate and timely measurements and reports of closure dimensions for use by both internal and external customers. The incumbent works very closely with all the manufacturing personnel to ensure the proper sampling of closures for testing. The incumbent works closely with Quality/Process and Manufacturing Engineering and is flexible in meeting a wide variety of testing needs. The incumbent must also interface with customer service, maintenance, and external suppliers as needed. The incumbent should be able to perform tasks independently with infrequent checking by the supervisor. The incumbent must be able to organize work to use time efficiently. The incumbent should be able to plan and schedule assignments according to priority and identify scheduling roadblocks. Both verbal and written communication skills are required. Working cooperatively with manufacturing and the Research and Development Lab in effectively completing assignments is required. This position officially requires working on weekends and flexible hours throughout the week. Measurements must be taken at the time required, sometimes with short notice. Communicate clearly in English and/or Spanish (Preferred), both verbally and in writing Wear the appropriate required safety gear. Attend work regularly and reliably. Work flexible hours as scheduled or required for the specific role. Provide on-shift training relative to the specific function. Conformance to company performance rules such as work instructions, working standards, policies, etc. Conformance to behavioral rules, expectations, and company policies Analyze shift or plant performance data relative to functional specialty and provide the shift leader or Manager with assessments of opportunity. Participate in Quality Assurance activities, focusing on the CRC Product Lines. Conduct receiving inspections for CRC Product Lines materials, including resin, liner, etc. Perform CMM measurements and capture any new tests required. Ensure positive release documentation for all CRC product lines. Actively supports and participates in plant quality improvement & cost reduction programs. Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with all pertinent safety policies and procedures Maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment. Participate in work-related training programs. Close visual acuity to perform computer tasks, read & develop spreadsheets, read financial data, etc. Able to participate in meetings and discussions with peer group and management team and interact with employees in multiple locations and settings.

Educational and Other Skill Requirements
Educational and Other Skill Requirements Must function in accordance with all of CSI's safety requirements. Must maintain the laboratory environment and associated equipment with high regard for safety. Must be capable of operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Gas Chromatograph. Must be capable of completing Gauge R&R (repeatability and reproducibility) studies. Must be able to troubleshoot, validate, and calibrate the automated gauges (Checkmate). Must be able to perform calibration on manual pull testers and blade settings gauges. Must be able to complete all incoming inspection tasks, which include odor testing. Must be able to pass Short-Term Gauge Capability on CMM on all required measurements. Must have a high school degree and three or more years' experience in high-speed manufacturing. Must have computer skills. Operate a variety of equipment, including balances, ovens, micrometers, optical comparators, pull testers, microscopes, quick scopes, etc. Knowledge of statistical methods is beneficial. Lifts, carries, etc., medium to heavy weight equipment, materials, and supplies for less than 1/4th of the night shift. Workload varies, resulting in peaks and valleys. Sometimes works under pressure.
Work Schedule: 8-hour Night shift, with hybrid work arrangements.
PPE:
ANSI Z41 approved safety shoes, hearing and eye protection as appropriate for the work area, gloves according to work task, and other PPE as assigned and required.
Tools and Equipment:
Various writing utensils, radios, phone, computer, printers, fax machines, calculators, various computer software required for specific roles.
