About the job Quality Inspector
We are seeking a Quality Inspector for 1st Shift 6am to 2pm. In this role, you will ensure that materials and finished products consistently meet rigorous quality standards. Your work will play a critical role in maintaining product integrity and exceeding customer expectations in a high-performance manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities •Blueprint & Specification Review: Interpret and inspect parts and materials based on engineering drawings and specifications. •Material Evaluation: Approve or reject incoming materials based on visual inspection and testing; track and report supplier quality performance. •Sample Testing: Conduct dimensional, functional, and specification-based testing on sample products. •Automated Testing Systems: Operate and monitor automated testing equipment for enhanced accuracy and throughput. •Production Monitoring: Inspect components at various stages of production to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. •Documentation & Reporting: Record inspection results, maintain logs of non-conformances, and generate quality reports for management. •Equipment Oversight: Ensure proper calibration and safe use of inspection tools and equipment; identify and remove defective products. •Collaboration: Communicate findings with quality and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements: •Experience: Previous experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy or precision manufacturing. •Training completion: AS9100/ISO and ITAR •Technical Skills: Proficient in using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools. •Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and quality standards. •Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills and a high level of accuracy in documentation and testing. •Dependability: Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and ownership of quality assurance functions. •Certifications: ISO 9000 or equivalent certification is highly desirable. •Software Proficiency: Comfortable using MS Office and quality management systems (QMS) or inspection software. •Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in manufacturing or quality preferred.
