Robotics Automation Engineer Full-Time | Manufacturing Automation | Multi-Site Support | ~25% Travel
Were looking for a highly skilled
Robotics Automation Engineer
to support advanced manufacturing initiatives through the development, integration, and optimization of robotics and automation systems. This role is responsible for full-cycle implementation of controls and robotic solutionsspanning collaborative robots, conveyors, EOAT, vision systems, PLC/HMI programming, and SCADA systems.
Key Responsibilities: Architect and deploy automated systems across multiple product lines, including robot-guided assembly and conveyor systems Program, debug, and modify PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred), HMIs (Wonderware/FactoryTalk), and SCADA interfaces Design EOATs and integrate with industrial/collaborative robots (Fanuc, UR, etc.) Conduct robotic simulation and path planning using tools such as RoboDK, Roboguide, or Visual Components Collaborate with engineering and production to identify automation opportunities and lead process improvements Support change management and system documentation using CMMS and OCM protocols Lead multi-site projects, coordinate with integrators/vendors, and ensure compliance with automation standards
Required Qualifications: Bachelors in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or related discipline) 5+ years of experience in controls/automation engineering within a manufacturing environment Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text), robotics integration, and vision system deployment Solid understanding of electromechanical systems, embedded programming, and industrial networking CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred)
Preferred Skills: Experience with Fanuc 6-axis and UR collaborative robots EOAT I/O integration experience Knowledge of MES platforms, SQL, .NET, and control panel design Simulation tools (RoboDK, Roboguide, etc.)
