Mergers & Acquisitions Senior Accountant
We are currently hiring a remote
Senior
or Manager-level M&A, Purchase Price Accounting Consultant for a 6+ month project to support ongoing business operations as the company continues to grow through mergers and acquisitions. Manage the financial aspects of business acquisitions, including valuation analysis, purchase price allocation, and integration of acquired entities. Collaborate closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure accurate and compliant accounting treatment of acquisitions. Lead the purchase price allocation process for acquired entities, including preparation of opening balance journal entries and business combination notes. Conduct valuation analysis using techniques such as discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, and asset-based valuation. Manage due diligence data rooms, reviewing and organizing financial documents such as asset purchase agreements, closing statements, and property appraisals. Analyze and maintain financial records related to acquisitions, including income statements, inventory and fixed assets, trust statements, and IFRS 16 lease data. Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal accounting policies. Prepare, communicate, and present acquisition-related reports to senior leadership and external auditors. Proficiency in accounting, IFRS, GAAP, and advanced Excel skills including vlookup and pivot tables. Experience in intercompany transactions and foreign currency. Audit preparation, including statutory audits for international entities. Experience with ERP systems and account reconciliation. Strong background in purchase accounting for mergers and acquisitions. Experience with SQL and SQL queries. Certified Public Accountant designation or equivalent experience. Expertise in financial statement analysis, accruals, fixed assets, and balance sheets. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a major in Accounting or Finance (preferred). CPA or Master's degree is highly preferred. Multi-year accounting experience in a large company with revenue of $250M+. Strong M&A experience, particularly in completing purchase accounting and working with external auditors and executive management. Multi-software experience, including advanced Excel skills. SQL experience is preferred. This role is fully remote Monday through Friday, operating on EST hours. Travel to the Boca Raton HQ may be required as needed.
