Delaware Based Bankruptcy & Litigation Paralegal
An international law firm is seeking an experienced Delaware based Bankruptcy & Litigation Paralegal to support both Restructuring and Litigation teams. This role involves working on complex bankruptcy matters as well as corporate litigation cases. This role is with an incredibly stable major law firm. Supports multiple attorneys in Wilmington and offers a terrific path for growth and challenging work. Requirements: Bankruptcy & Restructuring: Assist with Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 proceedings for both creditors and debtors. Prepare, file, and manage court documents and hearing materials. Maintain bankruptcy case files and hearing binders. Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and service certificates. Navigate federal bankruptcy procedures and local court rules, especially in Delaware and Southern District of New York. Support adversary proceedings, appeals, UCC searches, and filings. Litigation Support: Organize and manage litigation files and discovery materials. Prepare subpoenas, deposition notices, and discovery requests. Draft basic pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. Prepare deposition and trial exhibits, summaries, and expert witness materials. Assist with trial preparation and provide in-trial support. Conduct cite-checking, proofreading, and Bluebooking. File documents electronically in federal and state courts. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate (or equivalent experience). Minimum 2 years' experience in both insolvency and litigation. Strong knowledge of bankruptcy and civil litigation rules and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in legal research tools, e-filing systems, and Microsoft Office. Discretion, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills. Experience with appellate matters and UCC filings preferred. Work Environment: Hybrid schedule with at least 3 days in-office per week. Some overtime, evening, and weekend work required. Occasional travel for meetings or training.
