Quality Engineer
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring product and process integrity by supporting quality initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will lead problem-solving efforts, support measurement and analysis activities, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Proficient in blueprint reading, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experienced with various gauging and measurement tools, including optical comparators and form-measuring equipment. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Knowledgeable in quality systems and tools, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE). Proficient in problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa diagrams. Familiar with SAP QM transactions and AIAG core tools (PPAP, APQP, QSA, MSA, SPC, FMEA). Responsibilities
Lead and support containment actions and root cause analysis for customer issues and internal defects. Guide operators in metrology practices, charting, record-keeping, and managing non-conforming materials. Set up and maintain floor and lab gauges; oversee drawing releases and first-piece inspection decisions using SAP. Coordinate and execute Measurement System Analysis (MSA), machine acceptance, process capability, and run-at-rate studies; provide training as needed. Conduct process and layered process audits (LPA), verify corrective actions, and support internal and external audit activities. Prepare, review, and approve PPAP documentation to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. Manage disposition of suspect parts, update quality systems, and process special deviations in SAP. Perform layout inspections for new product launches; maintain failure catalogues, control plans, and Procella documentation. Issue and manage quality alerts; actively participate in PFMEA and DFMEA reviews; verify machine gauge calibration. Lead internal projects focused on cost reduction and scrap minimization while ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized workspace in alignment with Fit for Quality guidelines. Pay and Benefits
