Phlebotomist

Join a dynamic team at a leading healthcare facility as a Phlebotomist. In this role, you will be a crucial member of the lab team, responsible for drawing blood, handling specimens, and providing excellent customer service to patients. Responsibilities

Greet patients as they arrive at the lab and explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously. Perform blood draws and other specimen collections using straight or butterfly needles. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders. Ensure all laboratory requisition forms match specimen tubes and verify test requisitions for accuracy. Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures. Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings. Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results to patients. Handle insurance, billing, and process samples efficiently. Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient information accurately. Essential Skills

Phlebotomy certification 6+ months of phlebotomy experience Experience in customer service in any setting Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Strong understanding of medical terminology Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Eagerness to learn and take feedback positively Ability to work well with others Proven reliability and positive attendance Patient-first mindset Work Environment

The position is based around the greater Portland Metro area in Oregon. This is a contract role initially slated for 3 months, with potential extensions up to 9 months. The work environment fosters a strong team culture, with opportunities for growth and movement within different departments. You may occasionally be required to float to nearby locations. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.46/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
