SUMMARY The

Laundry Supervisor ("Supervisor/a de Lavanderia")

carries out all duties and instruction given by management in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include the retention of all training given becoming proficient in all job duties within a reasonably short period of time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Understanding and always complying with company safety policies and procedures Receive orders by email and/or phone from the properties and prioritize accordingly Count and weigh out-going linen and prepare appropriate documents Alert Laundry Supervisor of potential product shortages Answer phone as needed Conduct regular scheduled inventories Communicate to drivers the priority of deliveries Assist Laundry Manager when needed Sets all work priorities with the approval of laundry management Conduct weekly laundry safety tailgate

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS Two-year associates degree, trade school degree, professional certification, or any equivalent. At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training. A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement. Experience running shifts, scheduling, performance management, problem-solving, guest servicing and running day-to-day operations. Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc. Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required. Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times. Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs. The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
