Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: Starting pay rate of $21.00, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience. Benefits: Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:

The Killington Childcare program provides indoor care with age-appropriate toys, games, and optional outdoor activities year-round. State-licensed and fully equipped, our childcare center is open five days/week during the summer and seven days/week during the winter months, including all holidays, making our childcare center the most convenient in the area.Childcare is available to staff and Killington residents from 7:45-4:30 and to the general public from 8:30-3:45. The Lead Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate care and education for infants (12 weeks to 24 months) in a licensed childcare environment that promotes each child's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development in accordance with Vermont's Early Learning Standards and childcare licensing regulations.

This is a temporary position to provide coverage during a team member's maternity leave, with an expected duration of mid-October 2025 to early February 2026.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Assist in the daily routines of children such as feeding, dressing, sleeping, playing, changing, and learning Monitor the health and safety of all children in your care Maintain a record of your assigned children's daily activities and relay that information to their parents upon check-out Follow all applicable state regulations regarding the operation of our childcare center Design and follow a schedule of activities for children Adhere to teaching standards and safety regulations at all times Meet annual professional development requirements (15 clock hours/year) Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Must meet the minimum qualifications of a Teacher Associate per Vermont Child Care Licensing Regulations which requires meeting one of the following qualifications: Meet the minimum qualifications of a teacher associateof a licensed childcare facilityper Vermont DCF regulations; at least 12 credit hours of college coursework in child or human development or a CDA.Email childcare@killington.com for information on specific requirements. Certified in pediatric first aid and in infant and child CPR Experience working with children ages 2 months to 6 years Ability to pass comprehensive background check Minimum age of 21 years Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, sit on floor, and actively engage with children

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Criminal background check required Effectively communicate with children, parents, and coworkers Positive Attitude and patience with children Minimum 20 years of age Creativity in developing age-appropriate activities
