Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Program Manager is responsible for supporting the Smith School masters programs. This position is based primarily at the College Park campus, and will work directly with students enrolled in daytime and evening courses. The Program Manager provides academic advising to students, and program delivery support. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of student records, serving as a team specialist for assigned projects, and serving as a liaison between faculty and students as well as between the Masters Programs Office and other University campus offices working with Masters business students.

  • 3-5 years progressive related professional experience.

  • Proven ability to make effective use of time, plan ahead, and coordinate multiple projects.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with faculty, corporate clients, executives and staff.
  • Proven ability to respond positively to extreme pressures of time and workload.
  • Proven ability in oral and written communications.
  • Ability to work in a highly independent manner.
Preferences:

Preferences:

  • 1+ years experience advising, counseling, or coordinating event/training programs.
  • Experience working in higher education, ideally with a graduate business school.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires the ability and willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel to between College Park and other Smith School off-site campuses (currently in Baltimore, Shady Grove, and Washington, DC), as needed.
Salary range is $60,000 $75,000.
