YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and proactive
Data Engineer & Strategist
to join our innovative team at frog, part of Capgemini. In this crucial role,
you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
Your work will ensure that high-quality data is readily available to our data scientists, analysts, and client-facing teams, enabling them to derive insights and develop data-driven solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver resilient data systems that power our projects. Key Responsibilities: Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems and ETL/ELT pipelines. Integrate new data sources and develop processes for ingesting, transforming, and loading large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all data pipelines and systems. Develop and maintain data warehouse and data lake solutions, optimizing for performance and cost. Design and implement data models, schemas, and database structures to support analytical, operational, and machine learning use cases. Evaluate and implement appropriate data storage solutions, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and cloud storage services. Automation & Optimization: Automate data collection, processing, and delivery workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot data-related issues, and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and speed. Implement and manage data governance and security best practices. Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, software engineers, and project managers to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions. Provide technical expertise and support for data-related initiatives across various projects. Document data architectures, pipeline designs, and operational procedures. We Want You to Have: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field. 3+ years of proven experience in a Data Engineering role, with a strong focus on building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, Java, or Scala. Strong experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra). Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue). Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks). Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake concepts. Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. It Would Be a Bonus If You Had: Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with stream processing technologies (e.g., Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming, Flink). Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices.
