What you will bring to Wayve

You are passionate about building state-of-the-art test platforms and contributing directly to the fidelity, scalability and controllability of our validation tools. You bring a strong engineering mindset and thrive at the intersection of software, hardware and test systems. You care deeply about building robust tools that enable teams to test smarter and faster, and you approach problems with curiosity, innovation, structure and a bias toward automation. Ideally, you’ve made direct contributions to areas where automation, simulation, and embedded integration come together - and you’re motivated to define best practices to grow HIL capability. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of industry experience in test tooling development or similar domains Demonstrated hands-on experience developing HIL emulation, simulation and data replay system Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, C/C++ Solid understanding of HIL systems and simulation platforms Experience with general purpose and automotive communication protocols (Eth, CAN, PTP etc) Experience developing test platforms that interact with embedded systems and automotive interfaces (e.g., ECU communication, signal emulation) Proficiency in Linux or Unix based operating systems, command line tool Strong written and verbal communication skills Desirable Qualifications: Experience processing or simulating sensor data (camera, radar, GPS/GNSS) for autonomous systems Knowledge of camera interface, GMSL2, GMSL3, FPD-Link III, FPD- Link IV Experience working with serial communication protocols, e.g., UART, USB, I2C Experience working with MATLAB and Simulink Experience with real-time, low-latency, and safety-critical systems Experience with autonomous systems including robotics and/or autonomous vehicles Exposure to vehicle dynamics modeling or closed-loop HIL testing Proficiency with agile development tools and environments (Jira, Jama, etc) Familiarity with automotive software development requirements and standards, such as ASPICE ,ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) , with automotive HIL SW and HW products e.g. from Vector and dSPACE and with automotive SW architecture such as AUTOSAR We understand that everyone has a unique set of skills and experiences and that not everyone will meet all of the requirements listed above.
